One month ago today, I made a sketch at this same spot. At that time, Lac Leamy Park was flooded and the bike path ended roughly where the sign was. Today, the park is alive and the bike path goes on without obstructions. Big change. It's amazing how quickly things alter at this time of year. Within the same month, the daffodils and tulips came and went; the cherry and apple blossoms flourished and fell; and the bare branches of the trees transformed into verdant canopies. It's magical. Hopefully the changes will slow down so that we can better appreciate this wonderful time of the year.

Il y a un mois, j'ai fait un croquis au même endroit. À ce moment-là, le parc du lac Leamy était inondé et la piste cyclable s'arrêtait net à l'emplacement du panneau. Aujourd'hui, le parc est plein de vie et la piste cyclable est dégagée. Quel changement ! C'est incroyable comme les choses changent vite à cette période de l'année. En l'espace d'un mois, les jonquilles et les tulipes ont fleuri puis fané ; les cerisiers et les pommiers ont fleuri puis se sont fanés ; et les branches dénudées des arbres se sont transformées en une canopée verdoyante. C'est magique. Espérons que ces changements ralentiront pour que nous puissions mieux apprécier cette merveilleuse période de l'année.
