There were two varieties of waterlilies at our lake: white and yellow ones. (Sorry, I can't get more specific than that!) The bay in front of our cottage was shallow and contained hundreds of them. On my last kayak ride on the lake (we sold our cottage), I pulled out a lovely white one which I presented to my wife. I made this painting in shades of blue - cerulean, cobalt and indigo.

Il y avait deux variétés de nénuphars sur notre lac : des blancs et des jaunes. (Désolé, je ne peux pas être plus précis !) La baie devant notre chalet était peu profonde et en contenait des centaines. Lors de ma dernière balade en kayak sur le lac (nous avons vendu notre chalet), j'en ai sorti un magnifique nénuphar blanc que j'ai offert à ma femme. J'ai peint ce tableau dans des tons de bleu : céruléen, cobalt et indigo.
