Cherry blossoms / Fleurs de cerisier

The cherry tree in our front yard is now blossoming with thousands of light pink flowers. Hopefully most of these will be transmogrified into deep red cherries for us to feast on in the coming weeks!
Watercolour with Lamy Safari pen and Noodler's Lexington grey ink on Fabriano 100% cotton paper, 9.5 x 7 inches (24 x 18 cm).

Congratulations Michael: this is exceptionally well done! The choice of colours is perfect, so is the way you let the water flow. And the sparse linework is just perfect: nicely in balance with the watercolours.
