Lion's Head Bay / La baie de Lions Head

Georgian Bay is a very large body of water in the Great Lakes that many experienced sailors love to explore. Usually, the winds are strong and constant in this area, and the water is frigid even in July. This painting captures a scene at Lion's Head - a lovely community on the Bruce Penninsula in Ontario. There's plenty to see and do here. The escarpments are dizzingly high and are home to many large birds of prey. This painting has been linked in ILLUSTRATION FRIDAY under the theme Wind.
 Watercolour, 12 x 9 inches.
