Meech Lake boathouse / Abri à bateau au Lac Meech

Normally at this time of year I like to post a winter scene with thick blankets of snow on the ground to celebrate the change in season. But this wouldn't really reflect the way things look right now in Ottawa-Gatineau. The forecast for Christmas Eve is for 17°C and there isn't a spec of snow on the ground! Last year the snows arrived in early November and we were shivering in -20°C weather by the time that Christmas arrived! What a difference a year can make. Anyhow, I thought it would be fitting to post this quiet scene of Meech Lake in the Gatineau Park with this old boathouse in the foreground. Its a beautiful place to take a stroll and to contemplate everything good in life.
