Hull Marina / Marina de Hull

Last autumn during one of my cycling-sketching adventures, I started a sketch of a small restaurant at the Hull Marina in downtown Gatineau. Unfortunately I forgot to finish it and only recently discovered and completed it. When you look at this scene, you think that its in a remote area but in fact its in the centre of a large metropolitan city. In the background you can see the Parliament Buildings and the Alexandra Bridge. I haven't had the opportunity to visit it this year and hope that its still in business.

L'automne dernier, au cours d'une de mes aventures de cyclisme-croquis, j'ai commencé ce croquis d'un petit restaurant à la marina de Hull au centre-ville de Gatineau. Malheureusement, j'ai oublié de le terminer et je ne l'ai découvert et complété que récemment. Quand vous regardez cette scène, vous pensez que c'est dans une région éloignée mais en fait c'est au centre d'une grande ville métropolitaine. En arrière-plan, vous pouvez voir les édifices du Parlement et le pont Alexandra. Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de le visiter cette année et j'espère qu'il est toujours en activité.
