A day at the beach / Une journée à la plage

This is another walk down memory lane - a day at the beach in Cape Cod with my youngest daughter being buried in the sand.  In 1991, I was just beginning to paint 'seriously' in watercolour; this is one of my first attempts. I like the roughness of the image - the lines are not well defined - and the pigment was nicely absorbed in the cotton paper. 

Watercolour on Arches 100% cotton paper 10.5 x 14 inches (26.5 x 35.5 cm). 

Ceci est une autre promenade nostalgique - une journée à la plage à Cape Cod avec ma plus jeune fille en traine d'être enterré dans le sable. En 1991, je commençais à peindre "sérieusement" à l'aquarelle; ceci est une de mes premières tentatives. J'aime la rugosité de l'image - les lignes ne sont pas bien définis - et le pigment a été bien absorbé par le papier de coton.
