This is my final sketch of Patterson Creek in winter for this year. As it now stands, the weather is getting increasingly warmer and a scene like this one will soon disappear for another year. Of course, skating on the Rideau Canal ended a few weeks ago (the shortest skating season on the canal in memory). Despite the mild winter, I must say that I look forward to using more greens in my sketches.

Ceci est mon croquis final du ruisseau Patterson en hiver pour cette année. À l'heure actuelle, le temps devient de plus en plus chaud et une scène comme celle-ci va bientôt disparaître pour une autre année. Bien sûr, le patinage sur le canal Rideau a pris fin il y a quelques semaines (la plus courte saison de patinage sur le canal en mémoire). Malgré l'hiver doux, je dois dire que je suis impatient d'utiliser plus de peinture vert dans mes croquis.

I like this one. The single red banner makes the drawing very vivid and interesting.
