The sturgeon moon / La pleine lune esturgeon

Before the month of August ends, I thought that I would share an illustration that I made of this month's full moon - known as the sturgeon moon. As the legend explains, this was the time that the Indians would fish for large sturgeon which were attracted to the surface of the water by the power of the full moon.

Avant que le mois d'août se passe, je voulais partager avec vous une illustration que j'ai faite de la pleine lune de ce mois - connue comme la lune esturgeon. Tant que la légende explique, ce fut le temps que les Indiens auraient pêcher l'esturgeon qui ont été attirés à la surface de l'eau par la puissance de la pleine lune.
