Rideau Canal Ottawa Lockstation / Le poste d'éculsage sur le Canal Rideau à Ottawa

The Rideau Canal Lockstation in Ottawa is just below Parliament Hill and the entrance to the Ottawa River. It's really in a marvellous location . . .  and fortunately for me, it's across from a bike route that I've been using lately. In spring, the water level of the canal is replenished having been almost drained in the winter to protect the structures. During this period, there's usually a lot of activity around the locks with large tourist boats returning to their docks on the river. This causes the opening and closing of the locks - which in turn creates small waterfalls over the locks.

The three B&W drawings you show here in these posts are very well rendered, I especially like this one, you used a beautiful hatching in the background.
they remind me that I should do some B&W drawings again....
